As of October 2006 the Connecticut Department of Public Health
Radon Program has begun a campaign to ensure that all home inspectors who perform radon testing are qualified testers. As of May 2007 there have been two eight hour State approved training sessions on radon testing procedures. All home inspectors and home inspector interns in the State were notified of the training and asked to attend. This accounts for approximately 600 individuals. As of May 2007 there are
less than 100 individuals on the State trained and
approved list.
JRV Home Inspection Services is on this list. The principal and owner of the company,
James Quarello attended the very first training session. The Southern New England Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors, of which Mr. Quarello is a member, was
instrumental in putting together this State approved radon training seminar.
